You want to go fast and stay fast. Enter Reserve’s Turbulent Aero rim. It balances meaningful aerodynamics against impact strength, to produce a ride that is at once speedy AND rugged. This rim has pounded the pavement at the Giro and conquered the cobbles at Paris-Roubaix. 

We pair the Turbulent Aero with our R45D™ Centerlock hubs, powered by our patented RingDrive™ system. You want them because their 45 points of simultaneous engagement deliver instantaneous engagement and superior power transfer. We wrap the system in a lightweight hub body, along with our legendary made-in-house bearings, and finish them with a one-piece axle that delivers laser-precise bike handling. In short, these hubs just roll faster, last longer, and look better than anything else out there.  

With a front rim depth of 42mm and a rear rim depth of 49mm, the Turbulent Aero rims are built to take tires from 29-40mm. They feature external nipples, standard spokes, and a semi-hooked design that’ll give you peace of mind and a solid, stable ride. 

Chris King bearings, both steel and ceramic, have heat-treated, surgical-grade steel races that are machined simultaneously to ensure perfect matching. The quality and speed of our bearings is what you will feel (and hear) on every ride. As Chris King bearing tracks burnish, they actually get faster (we have data), which means the more you ride, the faster they get. A little bit of regular love (i.e., service) will keep these hubs rolling for years upon years of demanding use. 

This wheelset comes with the legendary “angry bee” sound, and you can choose from a bunch of sharp hub colors, including basic black.
